Tilt Tables

Tilt tables are generally used in hospitals and rehabilitation centers, and are increasingly prescribed for in-home use.

A tilt table is designed to be adjustable and can be tilted at various angles, from horizontal to vertical.

Therapeutic Tilt tables are used for rehabilitation exercises after trauma (such as a stroke, spinal cord injury or other neurological condition which affects a person's ability to stand and walk), or for functional rehabilitation of disabled or handicapped patients. The table used in a rehabilitation setting can assist carers with transferring a person from the bed to an upright position gradually and safely, allowing the person to slowly adjust to the effects of gravity.

A tilt table can also be used by a medical professional to evaluate a person’s ability to maintain blood pressure and heart rate while changing positions from lying down to standing up.

A tilt table test is a medical diagnostic procedure used to evaluate patients who experience symptoms of syncope (fainting) or near syncope (feeling faint or lightheaded). During the test, the patient lies flat on a table that can be tilted to an upright position, which causes a shift in blood volume and blood pressure. ABCO Health Care tilt tables come supplied with a set of 3 patient straps. These straps allow for the patient to be secured to the tilt table during a medical procedure, diagnostic test or transfer. Tilt table straps are designed to keep the person safely in place on the table and prevent them from falling off or becoming injured.
ABCO Health Care tilt tables allow for a lifting capacity of 350Kg and a tilting capacity of 200 or 300Kg+ therefore enabling treatment or assessment for heavier patients.
